A deadly blaze in a Queens home killed two 4-year-olds and injured three others — including a third child — late Saturday.
Police and fire authorities responded to emergency calls about the fire at the Far Rockaway house at about 11:51 a.m.
Emergency workers pulled out five individuals from the fire, including a 4-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. Both were rushed to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
Officers said that the three others rescued remain in stable condition.
Rescue workers took a second 4-year-old girl to St. John’s Hospital and two adults to local hospitals. A 55-year-old woman remains at Jamaica Hospital, as does a 63-year-old male at Nassau University Medical Center.
On Sunday morning, police called the investigation ongoing.
